Find the Right Financial Product — 60-Second Quiz
No login, no email capture. Six short questions; one suggested directory category plus three featured listings to start your own research.
What's the main thing you want to do with money right now?
How this quiz works
The recommendation engine isn't AI and it doesn't read your accounts. It's a small rules table that maps your six answers — goal, experience, region, capital, time horizon and risk tolerance — to one of the fourteen directory categories. The full mapping lives in src/lib/directory/quiz.ts and is editorially maintained; you can see exactly why a category was suggested in the "reason" line above.
The output is a starting category and three featured listings inside it — not a personalised investment recommendation. Inside the directory you'll find structured data on fees, regulation, account minimums and user reviews so you can make the call yourself. The quiz exists so that someone who arrives at MoneyMoodBoard without a specific product in mind can find a sensible place to start reading instead of bouncing.
What this quiz can't tell you
The quiz can't tell you whether a specific product is right for your situation. It can't see your tax bracket, your existing accounts, your dependents or your debt picture. It can't predict what markets will do. And like every editorial recommendation on MoneyMoodBoard, it isn't paid for — we don't earn commissions from any listing in the directory and the verified badge is not for sale.
If your situation is genuinely complex — large taxable balances, business ownership, cross-border tax, special-needs planning — please speak to a fee-only CFP rather than rely on a quiz. The output here is calibrated for people getting started, not for retirement-decade decisions.
